Missions!
“Missions” is not the responsibility of the “Missions
Department.” It’s the job of each of us as we see the needs that
God brings across our paths. (Read Jesus’ story of The Good Samaritan
in Luke 10:25-37.)
Sometimes, though, we may see a neighbor who has a need that is
greater than one of us can handle. When this happens please talk
to the Missions coordinators Victor and Donna Hess at 540-955-9730
or missions@emmausofclarke.com.

A
Letter from Adam Parker

Dear
Friends,
As you probably know I went with Teen Mania's Global Expeditions
to Okinawa, Japan for a month in 2003, went to India for a month
in 2004, and went to Peru for two months in 2007. The last eight
days while in Peru, I became a leader (with a co-leader) of about
23 missionaries.
I am looking forward to being a leader again this summer. This will
give me the opportunity to grow as a leader both spiritually and
practically.
The trip this summer will be from June 5-August 2. To start off,
we will be having training. While training I will also be getting
to know my co-leader and other leaders. Later on we will be training
the missionaries and getting to know them.
The first month I will be in Peru from around June 7- July 10. Our
base will be Lima, Peru. We will be helping in the earthquake relief
effort in Pisco and Chincha(about a week after coming home last
year from Peru, parts of the coast of Peru were hit hard by an earthquake).
We'll also be ministering through drama, VBS, and Bible Studies.
The second month (July 11-July 31) we will be in Argentina. We will
be helping in social outreaches by providing food, clothing, and
blankets for the poor in Mendoza, Argentina. We'll also be assisting
in a Kid's day camp and VBS. Lastly, we have debriefing (learn how
to take home what we have learned on the mission field).
I need to raise around $2342.60. If you would like to support me
in this exciting opportunity, please go to www.globalexpeditions.com
and click on ?Donate? at the top of the page, you can find me with
my ID number which is: 2222850. Any support will be greatly appreciated!
If you have any questions please call me at (540)635-1302. Also,
for more information feel free to call the Global Expeditions Missions

your prayer and support!
God Bless,
Adam Parker (Matthew 28:18-20)
